The course comprise of
- Lectures
- Video presentations
- Observation / Demonstration - standing around the patient and
- Hands on training in mannequins or equivalent.
The following facets of CT guided interventions would be taught
- Setting up a interventional CT room
- Patient preparation
- Precise needle placement under CT guidance ( Free hand and other techniques )
- Biopsies in soft tissues and bone
- RFA of tumors ( Lung, Liver) – Physics and live procedures (if case is available)
- Percutaneous CT guided pain management
- Complications and management
- Hardware and software used
IACTI offers three days hands on workshop on course to Radiologists towards specializing in Image guided needle procedures using CT scanners. The programme would be conducted by experienced Radiologists who are specializing in Interventional procedures. Brief highlights of the workshop:
